Guys, I`ve got an extended screen which can have a slight `shimmy` on it at high speed when fully extended. Its no `biggie` and certainly not the end of the world but what I have done is come up with a bracket which allows infinite adjustment and a second position of securing the screen via a handwheel. There`s no drilling and, bizzarely for me, it seems to work :D. All high quality stainless as usual.

If any of us have extended screens and think this might help them then feel free to contact me and I will help where I can, especially if you want one. :bounce1

Its not anything `I` intend to sell (not through my site or via fleabay anyway) and if NN wishes to sell them as an ongoing item then thats his business hence why I haven`t posted this in the vendors section.

best regards and ride safe :thumby:

I hope to be back on 2 wheels in about 4 weeks...............

Well, to be honest, my extended screen didn`t `rattle` unduly anyway - I just thought it `flexed or oscillated`slightly when extended and at speed. it was my single figure IQ guess that the BMW adjuster and supporting brackets was designed only for the smaller OEM screen (figures huh?) hence the concern when a larger screen was fitted. Paranoia?

The fitment of the bracket certainly seems to have added an extra `point of support` and seems to add some rigidity to the screen - so although I cannot say that at speeds in excess of 100mph it completely negates any oscillation (because I would be too scared to look............) its in my humble opinion that the bracket is deffo a positive to a more secured extended screen.

Bearing in mind I ain`t trying to sell anything here but rather share what could be a good idea with the rest of us I`m hoping that its of benefit. Personally, its dead easy to use & IMHO works - or works for me and my extended screen!

I hope I`ve helped!

Screen

No Problem, although can't see it on Nippynormans under cymarc or screens for the LC

Give it a little time, I'm sure NN will come up with something

You said this in your first post "If any of us have extended screens and think this might help them then feel free to contact me and I will help where I can, especially if you want one", then you refer Frank to NN, who don't have it listed.:nenau:aidan:JB

What's ya point nuts? I won't leave a fellow tosser hanging but before I help him out (I'd make him one like mine for free, don't think I wouldn't nuts you know I don't need the money) I'd prefer if he could get one elsewhere as it would save me time.

Pal - if you can't get one then mail me your address and I'll make you one - cover the postage and it will be with my compliments plus a bottle of wine if we ever meet up

Just pulling your leg, Mark.:D

Yeh. Mark, you just need the skin of a Rhino as well, it'd stop sad fucks being able to wind you up. :thumb

Yes, sorry, but at least the fella who needs help getting one is getting it :clap

And getting `back on thread` I still think its a good idea which the lads might want to consider and I stress I`m not trying to sell anything.

May I enquire as to which extended screen you have fitted Mark and what your opinions of it are?

Thanks
