The thing is that they won't have another LC until June, maybe July. And I sold my RT, and now I'm without bike.If they want to charge that much, wouldn't it be cheaper to cancel the order, and re-order?
I've had TPM on my 2009 GS, then on my 2012 RT, and never had a problem with it. Or BMW's valves. Maybe cheese is a good material for valves. In fact, TPM never really alerted me with a real pressure problem, just a little loss her and there. But it is reassuring to have it there and it saves you some manual checks.TPM is a pain in the arse. In the near thirty years I've been biking i've never ever come a cropper because of a puncture at speed, but I've had plenty of bloody grief with BM's valves made of cheese.
In my very humble opinion, you're probably better off without them ...
I've seen a dealer's list of LC accessories (from France) where a BMW TPM «kit»*is listed at 250€. Now, I don't know what exactly is included in the price. But it shows it can probably be done.
