I woudl like to have TPM installed on my not yet ridden GS LC, because the model my dealer had available for me does not have this option. Almost everything else, but not this one. Go figure. Anybody know an approximate price for the whole kit (sensors, controller, wiring...) in Europe? My dealer says CAN. $1,000, which seems ridiculously high to me. Are they trying to sc... me or is this the price? Thank you.

If they want to charge that much, wouldn't it be cheaper to cancel the order, and re-order?:rob

TPM is a pain in the arse. In the near thirty years I've been biking i've never ever come a cropper because of a puncture at speed, but I've had plenty of bloody grief with BM's valves made of cheese.

In my very humble opinion, you're probably better off without them ... :thumb

I've had TPM on my 2009 GS, then on my 2012 RT, and never had a problem with it. Or BMW's valves. Maybe cheese is a good material for valves. In fact, TPM never really alerted me with a real pressure problem, just a little loss her and there. But it is reassuring to have it there and it saves you some manual checks.
