Will a pre 2009 GSA singlecam aftermarket exhaust ie a full system fit on to my 2011 GSA twin cam provided I do away with the throttle flap valve thingy mi bib

Cheers jono :thumby:

Yes it will, i fitted a 2009 akro system to my twin cam, apart from the flapper valve the only other difference between stock systems is the diameter, there's a couple mm difference .

Nice one ! I take it that you just abandoned the flappy valve altogether and the 2009 exhaust system bolted onto your twin cam same as it would to a2009 GSA with no mods to the hanging points ?

Cheers jono

They all fit all models but an older model header has to be used with older model silencer can.

So will they fit or not ? :nenau

I've got an end can of an 04 plate GS and i'am hoping it will fit my new to me 11 plate GSA

Yes. Use a pre-TC silencer with pre-TC headers, job done.

Header and can for a pre TC bike will fit the TC. The brackets, exhaust ports etc are all the same. The TC system has to accommodate the flappy valve so header outlet and link pipe are different. Otherwise they are the same.
Certain Akraprovic systems have to be fitted complete but most headers and cans can be mixed & matched.
Eg Remus header with Akra can or even the OEM can.
