does anyone have any experience with aftermarket spoked wheels for the GS?

I'm after another set of wheels as good condition LC wheels are fetching alot of money, £1250+

so I'm considering a set of Alpina at £1600 new or maybe something like the Faba Wheels which use Excel rims which are generally usually very strong, again at around £1800 new.

I had kineo wheels on my R9T incredible build quality and lighter.

Lighter still being BST carbon which I had in my Ducati which are amazing, the bike turned so fast.

BST don't do 19" Kineo do.

I have a set of R9T spoked for sale if they might work for you.

I have Alpina wheels on my T120 Bonneville, they were fitted almost three years ago. The finish is excellent and so far no problems. There is a choice of colours and finishes.
I believe these wheels are used by KTM and Moto Guzzi. I've had two Stelvios and the finish on the wheels remained very good, although I admit to washing and polishing my bikes very frequently.

thanks, this is good feedback.
The alpina rims seem to be coming out on top at the moment.

I put a set of Alpina wheels on my '13 F800GS Adventure which as you may know have tubed rims!

Excellent product, pricey but had peace of mind riding on tubeless.

Just sold the F800 and the rims are for sale!!

I’ve had Alpina wheels on my AT for the past four years now....good as the day they went on and Alpina have improved them even further since I bought them.

I got a good buy, a set of Kineo wire wheels with new pilot road 4 fitted and tyre sensors fitted, for £500 second hand, only thing was the front is a 17”, but the fellow had a carbon fibre mudguard to fit also, makes for very quick handling. He had them powder coated grey to match my GS LC 2013.

Not sure about the 17 inch front.
Thought it would spoil the geometry of the bike

Got any pics?

Sorry for the delay Grant, some photo’s of my bike with the 17” front. Never ousted pictures on ukgser before so here goes.

I have a set of 17 inch cast wheels on my bike. I think it handles great. Not some sort off track day junky but I do like a quick run out.
