AGV Dual-Sport lid

I've Got Something...

It's an AGV MTX and my goggles fit just fine, even at motorway speeds.

I drilled the peak because it created too much helmet lift:

My MotoX googles fit the aperture perfectly:

I think it was £140 from Hein Gericke but had to order one in, the shell appears to be large and I had to modify the internal packing because it was creating pressure on my forehead.

I'd suggest you try before you buy.

Quick strap loos good. I run an £80 Thor MX lid, replete in hideous RockStar Energy Drink decals, which I love to death. I always ride with plugs anyway, even in a FF, so it's pretty quiet too.
Problem's the winter - when the rain smashes your nose off and the cotton neckie you use soaks so full of water you can't breathe through it! So thinking about a dual sport lid.
Schtum - those look like the answer, thanks.
DitchWater - love the drilled peak. Did it catch more air than usual? Mine's surprisingly good like that, for a propoh mx lid.

There are no securing points on my Tour-X but I've never had a problem with my goggles at motorway speed :nenau

I rarely wear them now though as I've discovered wind blocking sunglasses with flexible arms and interchangeable lenses. That way I can have black, clear or yellow lenses and still use the visor if I want

P.S. that new helmet looks  , how much is it?

You can still use the visor on both a Tour X and a Hornet when you're wearing goggles.

You can't shut the visor with the goggles on though, and that's normally what you need a visor for. :nenau

I ride with the visor up and glasses on 80% of the time. I just shut the visor if I exceed 70 ish or if I hit a shower or a cloud of bugs :thumb

Who can't....? :nenau I can and do with both my Tour X and Hornet. It offers a good range of options. Dark visor on the Tour X with clear goggles underneath for example. Great if a days ride involves both brilliant sunshine and dark, single-track roads.

I ride with goggles with RX prescription inserts almost all the time and in torrential rain, close the visor, if necessary.
