WELL DONE

Thanks folks!

Crikey, that was a bit brutal. We were lucky with the weather though - on Friday it had been appalling, but we had clear skies.

Not great at night, the skies were very dark and we did on one occasion take a wrong route into a lock and emergency-slewed the boat into the bank when we heard the weir directly ahead of us! (If you live in Bray and wondered who was in yoClipboard01.jpgur garden at about 3am, I can only apologise)!

So, all done. Thanks for all the good wishes. When you're doing something like this, and 80% of the time the voices in your head are pleading with you to just stop, it's knowing people are tracking you that helps you to carry on.

Never again, though! :D

Well I known that bit of the river very well as it is the reach we use for our rowing!

Looks like you decided to head across to the Waterside Inn, which is just opposite the tip of the Eyot you went the wrong side of, and is a Michelin 3 star restaurant run by the Roux family, so you have great taste!

It’s a good job you stopped as it is a big fuck off weir there with massive sluice gates , but at least you picked one of the poshest parts of Bray to gate crash as that house is in “River Gardens” which is a very sought after location where most of the properties are in the several million quid bracket :D

Pleased you made it round in one piece and total respect for such an incredible achievement!

It was quite tiring here as well, waiting for number 309 to move on the map.
Massive congratulations to the pair of you.
And one little question, out of interest, do you take it in turns to paddle at the front of the kayak ?

Well done Paul Ive done a bit of paddling and I know the toll it takes on your back shoulders and leg cramps. Thats an epic bucket list achievement. Chapeau
