Hi.

Anyone know of a small and cheap air compressor I could use in the garage?

It's main use would be the cleaning and drying of parts [blowing threads out etc] but it'd be nice if it could inflate tyres too.

Thanks.

Russ.

Machine Mart - tops on air tools and stuff. Cheaper than Screwfix and a larger range. You can order online or visit a store if there's one near you

Here's a very baby compressor: http://www.machinemart.co.uk/product.asp?p=000110934&r=2007&g=102

And some tools: http://www.machinemart.co.uk/product.asp?p=000310018

NB: You will need 1/4 BSP connectors for the tools and hose if you want QD style fittings

There's always a load on ebay as well.

Order the Machine Mart catalogue and enjoy some quality toilet reading!

Boxer,

I've got a 2Hp compressor with a 25 litre tank on it. Only used twice you can have it for £50 if you want it.

it's got a free air displacement of 5.5 CFM

looks a bit like this only it's made by sip and is green with a 2HP motor:

Thanks for the replies everyone and thanks Rob for the offer which I'll have to decline.

It looks a bit big and noisy for what I want. Thanks anyway.
