Loving the new bike..

I've definitely noticed the not unexpected heat issue at low speed when filtering.

I was looking on the Trevorpope fiche finder and see that the 2015 model is showing the air deflector kit for the fan, seat and tank although it's currently saying that those parts have been superseded.

Anyone know or heard if this is likely to be a retrofit i.e KTM fitting these gratis? I see they are standard on the 1290..

I fitted the wings set up nice finish and seem to work ok

I do find the heat from under the seat very uncomfortable when its hot out and did contact Wings to get a price for there deflector Kit, but as winter was coming I left it as I thought the heat would be welcome around the Man Business area, ill have a re think when on my Scotland trip, cant see it being that hot though im going on the 7th of May for a week lol

i was chatting to a ktm mechanic about the heat issue.... while mine was in for a service on friday ... he did say the 1290 sa rear header bandage was ok and work for the 1190.. as for the wings/ktm shield he seem to think that it will only roast the shock... tho did also say the the rear header bandage would need to be remove now and then to stop corrosion of said header .... so no real answer....

Mine does feel fairly warm at times.

Ordered the following from Trevorpope KTM to have a bash at:

Seat air deflectors - 60308053044

Tank air deflectors - 60308052044

Fan deflector - 60308056000

Fan deflector screw x 2 - 0081050181

..for the sum total of £21.83 including postage. Be interesting to see what comes :D

As an aside if you want a cheapy rad guard KTM also sell the new plastic one fitted to 2015 models for about £9

Radiator Protection - 60335040000

I'll be interested to see how you get on :) I've got the Wings set up which works well and despite the panels looking good on the bike I still much prefer the more 'open' look without them.

As an aside, I'm continually surprised at how reasonable KTM parts are :thumb2
