Hello and happy winter!!!
First time I have a problem with light snow. Yesterday my paralever passed out on forest, 20 kilometers away of nearest house, temperature -10C.
Pickup take me home, and then what? Carburators full of frost. Airfilter and box creamed by ice and in engine have a nice cocktail gasoline and motoroil.
So the master problem is airbox becouse the intake tubes take light snow in. Have anyone make it better?
Dam, I have a frost pictures but how get them here???

Hi Ileumi,

You could always fit the airbox and filter from a heavy flywheel bike in the winter. These draw warm air from the starter motor chamber so should stop the freezing problem.

That pic makes me ashamed of myself. Left mine in the garage today cos it was a bit cold, not evet the excuse of ice or snow:ymca

Air intake comparisons.

Later 81 on setup

Earlier setup drawing warm air from above the engine. Rubber inlet missing obviously. The drain hole in the block lets water out.

Personally if I had I lived in Finland I'd be riding one of these -
