question for those that have done it.

I have got shot of all the gubbins in the air box to do with the PAIR(?) valves and glued timing hole grommets in the holes left for the pipes.
Also disconnected and plugged the vacuum pipe. Got shot of the breather vortex pipes in the trumpets.
The breather is now vented to the atmosphere.

I thought I read somewhere that the trumpet tubes should also be cut off to help prevent pulsing - is that right? and does it help to cut them off.

'95 GS with Y-pipe and K&N filter, needles 2nd down.
