Has anyone purchased the new AirHawk Integrated Gel Seat that has been released recently ? If so, what are you impressions. I have the Airhawk Gel Pad which is good on long trips, it's just the seat looks comfortable and plus side is, no pad to get nicked when left unattended.

Thanks BoBad thanks for the link. Yes it's expensive, hence impressions / reviews before purchasing. Some of the cost hopefully will be met by selling an Airhawk Gel pad plus Touratech low seat on this site.

Ive been very impressed with the Kahedo/Touratech seat. I thought that was costly but a lot less than best part of £600.

Talk to a top level seat reupholster before shelling out.

Just a little help getting the money sorted.

No need to thank me........:D

At £585 for just the rider's seat it might be sometime before we get a review....

The portable Airhawk "pillow" is - I find- amazing and has had a lot of use on long trips, from GS to VFRs over the past decade I ve had one.

Yes, £600 sounds a lot, on the other hand it is amazing that half of us here are willing to shell out £750 for an exhaust pipe (arguably from a top quality reputable maker)that offers zero improvement in comfort, and not for a seat, whose benefit one would get every minute on the bike. Just saying....

Cant see it selling either... but I would probably buy one way before I bought an exhaust...

Total agree with you, rather have a comfortable seat (whatever it cost) than £750 exhaust. I have an Airhawk gel pad and it's great, do loads long distance trips, it's just that like the idea of it all in one place. So will likely purchase one, it's only money and if it keeps bum happy, then well spend.

No arguments with the spending policy but I think Airhawk are taking the piss.
What do the professional seat upholsterers have to say?

Sent somehow.

The ad in the link doesn't mention gel, dont think airhawk sell anything other than gel free air pocket seats do they?

I stand corrected. Think you may be right. Airhawk pads are air filled, the seat has I believe, build in air pockets as well which can be adjusted on the move.

I wonder if we could try one somehow... maybe they are in the Motorcycle show in London Excel next week..

You could quite feasibly get a seat specialist to incorporate an Airhawk pad into an original seat

airhawk integrated seat

Motohaus are the importer for these . A nice lady arranged for a sale or return one for me . I've got the standard seat , suspension and was trying to get something that was still comfortable but lower than standard seat ( found low bmw seat too hard). Unfortunately the lowered airhawk seemed to compromise the action of the air filled filling , (i.e it creased up ) so I regretfully returned it . At the time they had a big promotional discount maybe see if you can negotiate one again. I think Bahnstormer had one at their alton store .
