Airhawk

I have to say if we're going to get slagged off then you should make this 'club' membership only and be done with it. As things stand there's a choice and I've made mine for my own reasons.

There's free and free. I just put £200 in hard cash off the cost of the pinkwayround calendar and about another £300 of my time for free.

I also paid double for an item in Keith's fund because not enough people had gone for it.

My conscience is clear and I'm a bit cross at feeling I need to justify myself.

The price reflects the quality.

I've never ridden with the plastic but IMHO it's a false economy if you are doing regular touring. If you only want to do one long trip then maybe it's worth it but otherwise go for the better one.

I think Guitarman was undecided until I pointed out that Airhawk have a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. He seems to be happy with his though. It might be worth finding out if they will let you buy one of each kind and send back the one you don't want.

Yep the man is right. Airhawk do a money back guarantee. I've got my first big trip on the bike with the Airhawk next week but as far as I'm concerned it's already paid for itself with the increased comfort of my office chair and the car :D

I saw the plastic ones at a show. They looked shit and I wouldn't think they'll last that long. Remember the Airhawk concept is proven technology designed for continuous use by wheelchair and bed-ridden users. I have to say in the month or so that I've had mine I've not even had to put any more air in since the initial inflation. Now that's impressive.

You gets wot you pay for and if you don't like the Airhawk then just send it back.

Cheers

Dick
