Hi there guys,
I'm in the process of rebuilding my R80G/S's final drive (monolever), and, of course, missing the BMW special tools. Backlash specs are provided for use with their special tool (master gauge BMW No. 33 2 600). The tool can be improvised, but one has to know the dimensions of the measuring arm, i.e. how much it protrudes from the body of the gear ring axle.
After some search on the net, I found that the respective tool for the oilheads, has the tip for the clock at the diameter of the bearing balls, but I cannot confirm this or use it as is for the airhead.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Thanos
