Airhead Mechanic Oxfordshire

Does anyone know of a good airhead mechanic in the Oxfordshire area? Ideally close to Banbury....

There is or used to be one.
Quite famous for doing a good job.

But I will not recommend or supply info as he charges the earth.

Andrew Sexton in Hook Norton is who the posts above are referring too. I used to live about 3 miles away from him and used his services on a few occasions. He's very good and a proper old school engineer but he is pricey - I'd certainly consider either Steptoe or Motoscot even given the distance. Both are very good.

There's pricey, then pricier still. Then off-the-scale. Then you come to matey's pricing.
Been there myself and just left my wallet at the door. And just a hand written scrap of paper as a receipt. Cash preferred of course.
In extremis I used BMW Motorad in Welwyn, and it was far cheaper - says it all.
Your choice.

Ruaha, Another vote for Moto-scot too, ( near Luton) he's a good engineer and well respected. though I think my Shipston recommendation is much closer.

Airhead mechanic

I can thoroughly recommend Dave Rogers at DC rogers motorcycles in Little Kimble near Chinnor, just off the M40. He used to look after my Airhead many moons ago, I presume he is still going, give him a bell, 01844 346998.

He is very talented, trustworthy and won't break the bank, a true bike enthusiast.
My gearbox that he rebuilt 16 years ago still as sweet as ever..
Send him my regards, not seen him for years since emigrating to Yorkshire.

Why does it have to be an airhead mechanic? These things are supposed to be tractor technology so most bike mechanics should be able to work on them. There's a very good chap in Didcot that I use.

I live in Ban and have used Andy Sexton twice ... cost me £180 for proper valve check over bike when I first got it, he's a good old boy with a wry sense of humour... 'if you charge peanuts you get monkeys!'
