I have been registered to the site for several years and previously owned an 11gs.

I am a bit fed up with my sportsbike mates only going out on good days March - September and on jaunts to the usual places. So I'm looking at getting another gs as I think they suit winter riding more than my Ducati and I fancy get involved in the local gs runs.

I was thinking of spending around 3K (may change) on either an 11 or an airhead possible a 100PD.

Sensible question: I like the idea of owning a timeless classic airhead but as my riding is all on the roads and I like a fair pace at times do you think it'll suit?

Anything out there? Would the last of the airheads be a good buy as I know very little about them?

Anyone know the whereabouts of TCZ 7043 cos I'd buy it back?

TIA Barry.

Hiya Barry, good to see you back again :D You know you want one, go for it, why not an 1100 again? Know someone who might be selling a white 1100 , pretty ancient, late 90s manufacture but still going strong.

Problem is his missus loves it for touring and he wants a Multistrada - she says the seat's a plank and there's a bit of a domestic going on about it. I'll see him at the weekend, let you know the current state of the warring parties :thumb2

Welcome back Baz :thumb2

who cares what you get along as it gets you out more - there's def a fair bunch of lads now at home - check out the thread on the Xmas run

Personally I'd go for an 1100 :nenau

keep us posted and why not put a wanted ad up?

Hi Art,

I'm tied between buying an 11 which would need to be a good un or buy a nice PD to keep.

One of the hassles is the number of 11's / airheads that come up for sale over this side. Ask yer mate anyway. It's the wrong time of year to be selling , take a bad price etcetc.

Bout ye Trev,

Aye big Rog has bought an 08 Busa alongwith all the daft bits like a stretched swingarm etc so I'm running out of playmates on sports bikes. I was in Billys the day after the Xmas run and he mentioned you'd all been there.

I know a Bike that just might suit the Bill, Its a PD classic, and if its like the
owners others , its well kept.
He is only toying with selling it , and wey his money he doesnt need to
I seen this motor once , on a run out , its the Black classic ,
It is worth that wee Bit extra .

PM , ye his number , sure its good tey talk !
