Airhead Rebuild - Advice

Hi All,

I've recently aquired a 1977 R100.

I live in central london (without a garage), but I would like to get the bike broken down, have the frame powder coated, and then replace/upgrade old/damaged components.

What I would like to know is if anyone knows someone or a business near central London that would be willing to assist (and that has the knowledge to do it right)... at a reasonable price.

Any help is appreciated.

have a word with Steptoe.

To be honest though I'd be suprised if it's ever going to be cost effective to pay somebody to restore a 100/7. £1000 will get you a tidy runner but £2000 will get you a nice machine that doesn't need restoring. I'd be suprised if you get a bike restored and parts supplied for £1000. I'm allowing £2000 to restore mine and thats with me doing all the work.

The only assistance I am after is getting the frame out and powdercoated... the rest is up to me...
