my bike should have the square ones on!

no contest!

even BMW couldn't make their mind up.. my bike had the square ones when new but the "basic/kalahari" paralever that replaced it had the round ones as standard:nenau

its what floats your boat

hm

Personal preference really as yer man says :augie :D

Square are apparently stronger in the event of an off, but round seem to be the choice of many (I have 3 sets of square's on the shelf gathering dust so you know my preference).

Why not make it a poll, then you can have a sub pole, genuine or pattern, followed by polished or matt. :D

When I finally get myself an airhead it'll have round covers. I know square ones are reputedly stronger but I just think round covers look much nicer.

Oh and matt (well they'd have to be really :augie )

loved the round ones i put on my para PD, but wouldn't change the unpainted square ones on my current mono. they just look right.

i'd change them stupid arsed M6 nuts holding them on though given half a chance. you need to be a 'kin gynocologist to get the O/S/F one on

Don't forget the fancy ones with oil filler caps on. :D

You're a poof if you actually give a shit what's fitted :D

The round ones look great but tend to "Pop" when you put a lot of weight on them, saying that my old mono had round ones and they took a few hefty knocks.

Fit whatever you prefer and don't worry about it.

Square Black & Red

Square man myself, but black and red as it used to be on my bike (not sure if thats original).

Currently in Harley chrome but probably in time will return it to black/red when I figure out how and bike is back in U.K. Not sure though if with the orange seat it will be two many colours though.

In my experience the old , BMW OEM round ones are reasonably strong, it is the new pattern ones that are paper thin and will hardly take a drop off the side stand, never mind a gentle trip down the road.

If you plan any real adventure riding RTW etc find a set of old , thick square ones.

I prefer the two piece rocker covers.

Here's one i had in earlier.

Check out the how the two piece covers are secured ... Bolts through the cover into the head :D
