My R80ST came to me with the remains of a red RT fairing, that was fitted to it when my brother in law bought the bike way back when. I dragged the bits into the attic upon delivery, but I'm pretty convinced I'm going to rebuild the bike in its original, naked state. I'm trying to de-clutter my life, so I'm thinking it needs to go. Is the main central section of an RT fairing, missing its lower panels & in slightly shabby nick, of interest to anyone, or is it skip fodder
I kind of think that the place must be awash with better examples than mine due to the trend for every hipster worth his salt denuding worthy old tourers, but I'd feel guilty about taking it to the tip too, thinking of all those Triumph bathtubs that the fast boys binned in the '60s that prevent folk from finishing their T110 rebuild.

What do you think? Anyone want the remains, free for collection?

Please dont bin it........If you were nearer to me I would glady have it and love it (im Isle of Wight so not really practicable for me) surely someone somewhere will want to start revert all those hipster f**k ups and put things right.......

If no takers you could offer it to Motobins/Motor Works/James Sherlock et al so at lesst it will be recycled back into the fraternity eventualy?

Never a truer word was spoken.. I rebuild the engines and gearboxes for a couple of people who convert standatd BMW's into £8-£9k hipster bikes.
As part payment i take all the old fairings and parts they don't need...
One day when the hipster fad is over people will be desperate for the genuine original parts to convert them back to original spec. :D .
