The ventura racks are great - I have used them on other bikes. They have bags which convert into rucksacks which fit neatly over the hoops. The hoop frames are all standard so if you have the fitting for different bikes the racks and luggage can be used on any of them.
Ventura kit is also pretty expensive so this look like a pretty good deal!

Most of my travelling has been done with 2 Ventura bags that zip back to back over the rack. Depending on the bags you can get 80 -100 litres of carrying capacity.
