Lets face it....most of the threads end up somewhere on a different subject. Most of them irrelevant.
I'd support the "No 2CV Section". The quality of the materials used in the construction means you cant even make decent saucepans from them. They were designed as cheap transport for the French and should be treated accordingly.
By the way that was a jammy penalty last night!!!!

Running Conti Escapes on the ribenabike.

Reccomended to try them by Flipfly.
They are excellent, Leave crappy old Tourances for dead. No whitelining or tramlining at all.Had to ride over a road to work that had been ripped up for resurfacing, didnt notice any difference to new tarmac.

They handle lovely in any weather and with any loading (two up, full camping gear etc) and compared to most of the competition they are cheap!!!

I have the type of tyre recommended for fitment listed on the papers for the bike. We also have to have all modifications checked out by the TUV testing station. I'm not sure how strictly it's enforced and do not want to test it. I have been waved away from one TUV station coz I have a Y pipe fitted and not declared. It's probably not a big deal to change the papers for tyres but I just can't be arsed. If you want to mod the bike legaly you have to declare the approval number for the modification and get the papers changed if required. Thats why you see so much stuff with "ABE" or "TUV approved". You still see lots of heavily modded bikes over here so there must be another way, I've just not found it yet. I don't even no the boundry between a major mod or a minor mod that needs no approval. We have a number of bikers in the office but they all ride stock bikes. My seibenrock kit for example is listed on the papers allong with the mod number as it changes the capacity and for screens and stuff, if it has a ABE or tuv certificate I've been told you have to carry that as well. There's no 4 days to produce your doc's or has that stopped in the UK as well? I suppose I should investigate further, I'm just to lazy.
