Popped down to the Revival today.

On the motorway these 3 German plated bikes were motoring along

Funny I was up at a Friends house last night discussing his project Which actually may end up something like this

His will be an R69S frame and forks / wheels and a big tank like that (his is fibreglass)

I haven;t seen rocker covers like that on an airhead before ??

Bevel drive cam??

Rennsport type 255 originally supercharged prewar [ww2] then banned post war, so most survivors were rebuilt with carb' aspirated engines.
I've been lucky enough to ride one [unblown] in the early 70's which was then sold with all the original prewar bits to John Surtees, who rebuilt it to prewar standard.
BMW gave him two modified ones and a shed load of cash for it.
No museum queen tho' she still races regularly at Vintage "do's"
Usually wearing the great Georg Meier's number 49...
