The SFX dept are using a pair of these wind machines, for scenes involving military helicopters for a show I'm on in UAE.
Nice to see these airheads in a 'new' role... although they are in a sense reverting to BM origins as aero engines..?
Haven't spoken to the guys yet about engine size etc, they're R100's though I think and appear to be UK built.
Looking forward to seeing them performing on set next week.
They seem well engineered, but I don't know if they'll really match the 'brown-out' a chinook generates...
