Aix en Provence to Zeebrugge

Hi I am planning a trip from Santander into France and back to Zeebrugge. All sorted on the Spanish side to Aix en Provence however clueless the rest of the journey. Can anyone advise a routes back up through France along with Hotel recommendations? This is my Honeymoon so need to get it right!!!

Head over to the French Alps side and then up through the French Vosges/Alsace or German Black Forest and then up through the Belgium Ardennes

Just get some Michelin Maps and plot up a route
