I quiet fancied one of those, but I also fancied the Honda as well. For arguments sake lets assume that it's the emissions preventing the sale. It's a niche market item so I doubt they'd suddenly sell millions of them.
I could buy one of those or a diesel 4x4. Whilst the 4x4 would be better at certain tasks, I could still commute in either but the legally purchased 4x4 would require more fuel per mile, and more materials to make it, and take up more room and add to local congestion. The 125cc may well give off more immediate local pollution but over it's lifetime, surely it's going to better for the environment?
I suppose my argument falls down in that I could buy a regularly imported 125cc though.. it's just that I don't 'want' the ones that are sold here as much
