Johhny - thye were in MCN a few weeks ago and looked really nice - I think the white one looks a bit Randall & Hopkirk deceased but still okay.

There was also a new Frank Thomas suit very similar too but can't remember the name. It wasn't on their website at the time but should be on soon.

AndyT:cool:

Yea Seen these , the Black n Orange wan , they look good.
But , you know the Akito Badge , ! ! !
Sorta , in my mind is a Bottom of the Range Brand ,
in fairness tho the jacket did look good.

Andy,

The Frank Thomas Jacket/trousers combo is thew Raptor, had a look at them in Frank Thomas dealers in Glasgow, looked good, still not convinced by FT quality control, and workmanship which is a shame as they do some really good looking stuff with good oractical ideas.

AKito brand I would give a big miss personnally the J&B in Hamilton does a lot of there stuff and it's pretty poor quality.

Cheers

Help me get over my "Akito = cheap shite" prejudice here......:nenau

Akito is a circular brand. 10+ years ago it did good quality stuff - I had some leathers - still have actually - they are very heavy and tough, just not cutting edge for style.

Now they seem to be going for style, and failing in all respects. Shame.

mmmmm... Like the look of the Akito stuff......

as far as Frank Thomas..... well.,. I promise meself years ago that I'd NEVER buy FT stuff again.

maybe they have improved...... but I hate FT.
The boots I had were shite...n the aftersales service was abysmal.
n a lass I know had 1 of FT's jackets.... it was shite as well.... n when she complained (prompted by me)... well...she was fobbed off n lied to.....

so ...sod FT forever IMHO

you're too pooosh in Edinburgh that what's wrong

Only ever bought a pair of Akito gloves - great summer gloves, but the stitching went after a while. Their stuff is fairly "cheap and cheerful", but for a lightweight "not too serious" jacket - it could be fine :thumb2

Al :D

I reckon for someone in the lower budget bracket like myself they are fine, I would purchase their stuff, particularly like the set on the link posted by "Tuned In" :thumb

Well I've ordered a set

Rallye II year and a half old and it's fecked I could get 4 Akito suits for the price of one rallye suit.

Mind you if I didn't go bog trotting swimming climbing and eat, sleep and drink in it, melt it on Wizards exhaust it might last a bit longer

Mind you nothing looks worse than a clean Rallye suit:D

What about the HG Taureg gear? The non-goretex stuff is pretty cheap and great for summer use.

(That's "toe-rag" to you Johhny :augie)

akito kwality kontrol;

now i know i'm a rufty tufty Biker (i am ) but.......

akito boots should not be made of such soft leather that my big toe nail makes a hole in the toecap of the boot!

i wont trust my important little places to akito products EVER again.

but, thats just my 2 cents :nenau

Rev'it gear is very good and cheaper than BM. Plus their aftersales is excellent from MMC in St Helens.
