akrapovic baffle removal

Could removing the baffles affect the performance though?

I had it done on a previous bike, and although it sounded bloody brilliant the performance plummeted.

My bike was on the dyno with the oem can and then with the akra (baffles out).

The akra increased hp ever so slightly as well as torque. Increases showed across the entire graph -- no loss of torque or hp at any rpm.

BUT, what the dyno really showed was how good the oem can is. The akra provided only about 1.5 add'l hp and a similar torque gain.

Only justification for the akra really is sound. A lotta money for sound.

Sorry for the slight hijack, but has anyone here fitted a Remus and regretted it?

One of our group to Spain had a Remus fitted to his Varadildo and the sound was awesome. No exaggeration, but he was at the front and I was at the back (approx quarter of a mile apart) and going through tunnels I could still hear it. I assume his baffles were out. :D

Yes me,

reason why ! The stock exhaust sounded just right but i wanted something lighter and not as fugly so brought the Remus and left the baffle in, now when you give it some beans its fecking loud much louder than stock and I'm not a fan of loud pipes on a gs, the only bike that deserves the right to be loud is a ducati with temi's fitted.

Mine will be for sale soon cheap as chips, I'm having a akro .
