Akrapovic Exhaust Discoloration...

Hi everybody.

I've just installed an original Akrapovic on my new R1200GS wich is 750 kms.
I have seen today after some motorway at normal spped (120 km/h) that the last third of the muffler shows some discolouration.
Is it normal? Does'it will disappear with time or discolour the whole muffler what would be nicer...
Does it happened also on yours?
It allways has been cleened with WD-40 only...

I know but it's difficult to fix it on pics because it's only viewing in certain angles and light...

Mines like that, I suspect it's being burnt from the inside but haven't the time to look properly.

Had mine rebuilt

My Akrapovic went all sorts of colours after a week in the Alps and looked horibble. I phoned Nippy and he asked that I send it back. He then returned it to Performance Parts who rebuilt it (slowly). They declined to admit anything was wrong with it but my guess is the packing was too tight. No similar problems with the rebuilt one.
