Akrapovic for GSA 1250 triple black

I know when you buy a new bike you can upgrade the exhausts to the akrapovic HP, but I think they look awful. Now with my bike being the TB, I would like a black exhausts, so I am doing this for the look and not performance.

I noticed from Nippy Normans you can buy Akrapovic black edition and it looks like a normal exhausts,https://www.nippynormans.com/akrapo...18-r1250gs-r1200-adv-lc-2014-to-2018-r1250adv.

Has anyone added this to their bike, any warranty or issues with doing it?

Akrapovic is a recognized BMW Accessory exhaust supplier so no issues with warranty

As far as I know to comply with the bmw warranty the Akra can needs to have the bmw part number as on the dealer supplied part hence the higher price compared to buying basically the same part from other outlets...

My brother used an HP Corse on his from new. It has been serviced twice and nothing has been said. Check with your supplying dealer?

It looks great in the short can version in Black. He got it from WRS in Italy. And it’s half the price of the Akra.

I have a thread running on this exact topic relating to a black rear Ackrapovic box being fitted to my 2020 plate 1250 GSA.

Long story short is that I asked Vines to fit a full titanium system to the 1250 GSA with a black rear can, which I was buying from them. They did this and I am now waiting for the second back box to be changed as the have both been “blowing” from underneath the black ceramic heat shield.

Vines initially tried to wiggle out of it but are now about to pay to have a third back box fitted to my bike.

The black does look good but there has been an issue with the seating of the rivets which secure the black ceramic cover in place with both the back boxes which have been supplied to me.

Proceed with caution…….

Leasky, that is really interesting, as I have done more searches I am seeing this more and more, whilst the look is not my preferences I am leaning towards the stock akra hp. May have got one,,,,,,

I have a Remus black hawk..... not the 8 looking one that there is a picture of above.

I got it 2nd hand from this very site, and I’m very happy with it. Looks good, sounds good too (and not too loud)
