Well I never. I'd have thought that, if someone was bothered enough about motorcycle emissions to force the manufacturers to build to Euro 4 or cease production, someone would be bothered to make sure the standards were maintained. Clearly not!No . There’s no emissions testing for motorcycles in the U.K.

Not currently tested , though you never know if that will change.

If the changes come that they are talking about with cars, then bike will not be far behind... however it's a lot easier to put the standard system back on for the mot..
I know this article is about diesels, but there's also talk of cats being checked, and by-pass pipes failing mot.

Think I’ll follow the advice and get headers and wait for a group booking at Hilltop.
Is posting over the ecu to him to do as good a job?

I`d also suggest a simple refuelling and headers (I agree, there`s no need for a akra can) to give a significant improvement to performance.
Whats cost comparison?Stressing Hilltop are fantasticI`d also suggest a simple refuelling and headers (I agree, there`s no need for a akra can) to give a significant improvement to performance.
Hilltop, of course, can do this (excellently and very well) but there are alternatives - not necessarily mine.

Ive headers ordered, akra can on from new, so ordered headers, more for the blue titanium look on the rallye than extra power.
Just if it needed mapped to suit i would go with one of the above.

and a ride on mine (which has the kit fitted - try before you buy eh). I`ve no idea how much a Hilltop is (I`m sure it`s excellent value for money and brill). The only other comparison is that my installation is removable and there`s no jiggery pokery with the ECU.Problem is im in ireland (hence why i asked about the posting of the ecu & mapping)

) if it was an option for you - or wait until I go over there for the NW200 and I`ll happily come to you and fit it (at no extra charge bar a bottle of good red wine)
