I have an Akrapovic end can fitted and I am considering the (titanium) headers as I have always gone for a full system on my previous bikes. Apparently you cannot use the noise valve in the system and if it's removed you will have a constant fault light on the dash so can it be partially removed or do you have to secure it somewhere out of the way on the bike, thanks.

No fault light will show on the dash !
There will be a fault code which shows on diagnostic tool but that is it! Just remove the valve and the cables, Akro headers even come supplied with instructions of how to do it.

get them fitted and relax

I've just taken the flappy thingy of my Akrapovic (full system) over the weekend with thanks to the advice here, but I've ridden with it in since i had the bike, it took 5 mins to get it off, although i had to grind off one of the two torx bolts that hold it in place, yer gonna like the sound of that.... not to mention the massive weight loss.

The only issue i had fitting the headers was fitting Altrider Crash Bars after because the oxygen sensors on the Akro headers were further forward than the standard pipes, and interfered with the fitting plate that bolts to the bike - i had to grind off the plate on the end of the crash bars to get past the sensor on the left of the bike. I sent lots of pictures to Akrapoivic, and Nippy Normans showing the issue. EDIT I'm on a 2010 Hex not a LC so it might not be an issue.

The Hex Remus headers also have forward mounted O2 sensors. All you have to do is disconnect the plugs from the mounting clips, fit sensors, connect plugs and then reclip to the brackets or use zip ties to hold them out of the way.
