So I placed an order through a Nippy Normans for the Akro muffler. Anyway, why is it that one muffler comes with a laser etched HP logo and the other comes with an old style Akrapovic stick on?

Also with my dealings with Norman I notice his communication isn't great.
Answers seem to be very brief, without attention to details asked in the question
It's a little frustrating especially when ordering from another continent and and spending a good coin.

I am trying to get the tracking into on my packages now and he is being pretty silent.

Akro pipe BMW or NN

Big difference in coinage between dealer HP pipe an standard nippy pipe ,you pays your money an takes your choice !! They're both made at the same factory :) personally I would have a remap if( poss) and get more than 5bhp and forget the noisy same sized Akro pipe. :thumb
Keep sending emails to Norman you may get lucky :D

Perhaps get a re-map too, but I wouldn't drop the Akra. Ride an Akra equipped bike then go back to a stock exhaust and the standard bike sounds like a pathetic sewing machine by comparison. I say the Akra is my most enjoyed accessory.

By the way, I've found Norman's communications excellent and rapid if you suggest he is over-charging you. :-)

Please stop....I'm convincing myself that its not worth it.....

Hehe... I've had to suffer why shouldn't you? My dealer convinced me to buy one by providing me with an Akra equipped loaner for the day when my new bike got its first service. Until then I had never fitted a non-stock can in 30 years of bike ownership. But when I got my newly serviced bike back I was totally dismayed and the long delivery time to get the new exhaust was excruciating. I had even taken to apologise to other bike owning friends for the anaemic sound emanating from the standard pipe, by saying 'Don't worry I'm getting that fixed soon'.

Go on, buy one, you know you won't be happy till you do.... ;-)

La la la not reading anymore....and you're absolutely right those long lead times are dreadful, that's put me right off......and it's too hot to be swapping exhausts etc etc

:D

The one at Nippys is now £709, but there are BMW dealers selling them for £699, so a "proper" one is even cheaper:rob:beerjug:

Well to buy a BMW locally sourced one it will cost me $1620 AUD.
Nippy's cost me $1030 landed. So it was a no brainer for me.
Plus BMW dealers here are hopeless. Never have any stock of anything you would want and no ETAs.

So if the sticker is the only difference, I can live with that.

Thanks for your responses.

By the way, my orders both shipped from Nippy's, it's just that he is reluctant to send me tracking info for some reason. Not sure why ths is so hard? I buy all over the world and his communication style isn't great

I got $1300 fitted by my Australian Dealer. Still not in as yet. The lights were more expensive @$1360.00 , but I wanted the BMW switchgear and the Can Buzz set up .

You are getting ripped off mate! Good thing that you have deep pockets.
I love that you state "fitted" as if it was hard to slip on a silencer
Guess who is laughing all the way to the bank :rob

Yeh btut I got the HP on mine thats got to make the bike go faster. And in reality it was only $200 more that what you are paying, and if customs sees yours is over $1000.00 then it will be even less. I just ordered off the dealer because I didn't want to stuff around, have purchased plenty of stuff OS but maybe the hype of the dealer sucked me in?
