Changing to some non Cat Akropovic headers....

anyone know torque values on head nuts ? 2009 SE GS

and should I be applying any paste or grease to any or all of individual sections of pipe ? or do they just stay dry jointed ??

I just tighten them up mate. Haven't a clue what the torque vale is but you will know when they are tight.

One bit of advice I'd give is when I've fitted the much better quality and value Keihans ;) over the years, I make sure I use new exhaust header gaskets.

You should use the high temperature nickel based paste such as this.

I used a copper based product alleged to work to 1000 C and now have a one piece exhaust system.

The exhaust port gaskets compress so torque values are irrelevant. Don't forget to dig out the old gaskets.

That happened to my Akra headers too. Was a hell of a job to get them back off when I replaced with Keihan ones.

Mine are titanium (very thin wall tube) so I suspect its already a done deal and now a one-piece system.
