No it needs to be fitted before you fit the new unit,
Good news its only 2 screws to remove the headlight
Bad news is you need to remove the screen & instrument cluster , they are a faf !!

The adjuster can be retro fitted, but the headlamp will need to be removed - instrument cluster can be left attached, at least, mine comes out with it still attached - just disconnect the wires (wires to the headlamp and wires to the instrument cluster), remove the two side mounting bolts and then gently navigate the whole lot out
