what has anybody done to seal the inside of their ali panniers .......to stop the ali "rubbing" things black?
anybody tried paint or a varnish?.......
thanks bryan

I put black zega bags inside black bin liners,
need a torch to see anything.;)
not sure if the paint reacts with bare aluminium.I have seen a few people who use sticky back plastic.honestly.

or should that read sticky black plastic:D :D

Mine are painted internally with a 2-pack epoxy/acrylic paint, originally designed for lining water tanks.
Liners are now grey, no dusting, completely waterproof, and fractionally smaller!
Oh, and as the paint was a leftover from a job, it was free!

I'll post a pic when I get home (if I remember!)

I coated mine with 1.2mm thick vinyl floor covering, glued on using tubes stuff from the local hardware.

The cheapest I could get, was a German brand (what else) with a guarantee that it would withstand the floor traffic of a football team.

Well canned food on a dirt road will leave rings on the vinyl, but a wipe and its off!

I'm going to get my panniers hard anodised, looks good and should be pretty tough as well.I'm not sure about doing old stuff though,I'll find out next time I'm in the area. There's also painting, powder coating and anything else you can imagine.I always look away from the bike market for the really tough stuff, find out where your nearest yatch chandler is,they'll have something.Good luck:D
