Now I am a reasonable bloke, of engineering knowhow and can usually keep my bikes to a level of servicability required to cover plenty of miles on unsurfaced roads. But there are occasions where I make mistakes, and toda I fitted a mistake.....
All Balls Racing bearings were purchased to replace my worn steering head bearings on my DRZ..... what an absolute load of shite these bearings have turned out to be, the seals are p!ss-poor and the rolling media itself crap.
At £30-ish a set, I think I have bought my last All Balls product....... utter Chinese garbage.

So, if your at a stage were new bearings are required in your headstock, fit what Suzuki used as oem.

Timpo.

replaced mine recently, asked at suzuki dealership and they wanted £50 each for them. Got a set off ebay, not all balls cause they only came with 1 seal and i needed 2.

fitted them in my swingarm and linkage and seemed alright

Guys, I have used The Bearing Boys on several occasions for my other bikes, they seem really good and their web site is easy to use to. Will be trying them first for bearings for the DRZ when required.

After calling my order through at 1430hrs on the 25th, the package arrived on my door at 1000hrs next day via standard delivery.
2x NTN bearings same as oem ready to fit.
Funnily enough, some of the DRZ owners on advrider have had the All Balls bearings break-up whilst in service. I reckon that could spoil your day!

Just done the XR250 with All Balls £33 from Ebay:blast

We'll see how long it lasts:rolleyes:

OEM Honda incl Dust seals = £58

I wish I'd known last week:blast

Ho-Hum..................I'll see how long they last:rolleyes:

Next time, it'll either be OEM Honda (my usual preferred route) or sourcing via Timpo's link or locally at a bearing supplier

careful using simplybearings - or cnuts as i call them.

they do not describe seals properly - a double lip seal to them is in reality a single lip and wiper ring, they refused to refund so i just got the card company involved as i said total cnuts.....

used all balls on the steering for my drz

no problem thus far mind you it helps to have lots of waterproof grease packed in them properly .unlike how it left the factory doh

Timpo, I got an 'advisory' today informing me of slight wear in the shock pivot bearings.
I'll probably get round to it sooner rather than later :thumb

Have you sussed out a decent supplier for these bearings yet?
