I want a screen with the PC built into it, bit like one of those Macintosh things but a real computer.

Whats out there. Not bothered about hard drive size its just for web surfing via a wireless network and managing about 30 Word documents.

Cheers :thumb2

Tell me what it is I'm supposed to be looking for amongst all that consumer tat in the link? :blast

Sorry :(

I thought it would take you directly to the computer I thought best for you .. but somehow it resets to goto the homepage :blast

Anyway search for VGC-JS2E/P - the all-in-one PC with a 20.1" X-black LCD in PINK :thumb

Thanks but over twice as much as I want to pay :)

This isn't going to be used for more than surfing and messing with a few documents. Someone must make a cheapo screen with a pc in it?

If you have a wireless network in the house would a cheap laptop do the job Kevin? I bought an E-machines laptop in Tesco earlier this year for £270 and although it only has a 15.6" screen it is fine for doing the same tasks as you want to do.

Have a look at the HP Pavilion range as something to consider, whatever you look at I'd recommend having a wireless connection built into the machine, not all do and you end up having to plug in an external dongle.

Ms Cheeks recently was looking for a similar solution to yourself but rather than an all in one went for a Pavilion Slimline package which has a separate tower unit although its small compared to her last Dell unit and came with a 16:9 LCD monitor and all in one scanner printer for under £500.
