Google Chromebase All-in-one PCs - any good?

Any advice on these- as a machine primarily for webmail and surfing in an extra room

I have most files on a NAS drive, and have a networked laser printer and a networked multi-function scan/printer.

Anybody use one, or know of any pros/cons?

It's chrome OS the same as a chrome book. Surfing is spot on its just Google Chrome after all. Network printers won't work unless you can hook them up to Google cloud print. If you can then it works amazingly well and if you have an android phone or tablet that can use it as well from anywhere with Internet. Unless your NAS has a Web interface you can't use that either, I just tried. There might be a chrome app in the webstore that will help. They are also working hard to get android apps working on chrome but there isn't that many yet.

It's basic existence is about Web based services and it works great with that. If you can do it in chrome browser you can do it in chrome OS. My chromebook came with 1tb extra Google drive space so I don't really need local storage.

If you want to know anything else either ask or have a look at what chrome OS can do.
