I'm after an all in one printer to do general small office type printing and copying plus fax.
It's not going to be used for photo printing.
Budget around £120-£150
Must be wireless.
I've always favoured HP in the past for their ease of use and relatively cheap ink.
A couple of reviews I've read on the HP 6500 which i had shortlisted however don't seem too favourable.

Anyone got any recomendations or opinions based on the above criteria?

TIA

Canon PIXMA MP560 ?
Amazon have it at £105 just now. :thumb2

LINKY

I used to favour HP too, because of the software - but the others have caught up. Canon was a doddle to set up on a network, and print costs lower than other makes.

Al :)

Thanks Guys.

I'll check them out, re the canon, we have a pixma 5000 series photo printer and whilst the quality of the prints is superb, for high volume general printing it's bloody expensive. The black ink tank seems to be way too small for office use.

Do the newer canons use multi or individual colour ink tanks?

Epson Stylus SX515W

One more for the Epson Stylus SX515W.:thumb2

Bought one last week from PC World - £69.99.

Not only is it wireless (set up to talk to router so all in the house can use it) it also has an ethernet port. That definitely swayed me. In my old house Ican only do woireless in some rooms, so if I need to move things around any time, or if the wireless quality degrades, I will use the old ethernet cable to the router.

As for inks - about £35 for 4 in PC World, or about £23 fror 15 on Ebay (Hornsea Inks).

Added to that, prints pages up to 34 per minute.

I still cannot believe that I have such a quality, networked printer of this quality for under £70.

Oh yes, has card readers, pictbridge and LCD screen as well. :thumb2:thumb2

I have an Epson Stylus Office BX300F from PC World, does a nice enough job for my needs....:thumb .....seem to recollect I bought it 3 months ago and it was within the budget you mentioned

I recently bought an Epson Stylus Photo PX710W that does all that wireless and card reading stuff. Far more uses than I'll ever put it to. Good printer mind.

canon have a shop on ebay and do refurbished printers for not a lot of money . they come complete with canon warranty and new ink cartridges ,, i got a belter of a combined scanner / printer for 17 quid .... yes 17 quid !!!! i think it's canon-uk or canon.uk do a search and watch out for the seller's name . you.ll find em and i can't recommend em highly enough .... hope this helps :thumb2:thumb2

refill the tank and live with the blinking orange light .... the printer still works fine :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2
