All tucked up for Winter - cheaper insurance?

I’m coming up for insurance renewal and remembered Wapping advising to let the insurance company know if it won’t be used during the Winter period. It makes sense as it’s less risk for them.

With Bikesure it does not matter a jot, but hey...I tried.

Anyone else had luck with this?

I didn’t try that with my ins company but knowing the bike would be off the road for six months I declared it SORN & reduced my level of insurance to TPF&T & so reduced the costs…

I find that a "laid-up" policy is little different in price so why do it.
