If anyone's off to the states soon and happen to be
in the market for a high quality jacket then you may
be interested in this:

They seem to be available at most bmw dealers (USA) and prices
vary........mine cost $250 (£150) but saw them advertised
at 'Bob's BMW (Washington) for $195 (£120). There don't
seem to be any of these jackets in the UK but they 'appear'
to be up to the same high standard of of the goretex range offered
by Heine Gerike, however I haven't had the opportunity to
road test it.
I was hoping to buy other bit's 'n pieces for the GS1200
but found the US prices on par if not 'more' expensive than
we pay in the UK.....not sure if bmw dealers in the US are
subject to some sort of hevty import duty. I did buy a
'Throttle Meister' throttle control which was more than I
wanted to pay (£97) but is finished off to a high standard
and has a matching bar end for the left hand side.
