Anyone got any pictures of alloys in a different colour? My rear one is blistering around the valve so I'm thinking of changing colour with a refurb. I quite like the gunmetal colour on BMW cars but satin black is my boring fall back.

i have just sent a rear alloy for a refurb in gloss black, had satin in the past but a bit bland tbh

No good to you because he is miles away from you but I have a friend who does powder coating. He was showing me a pair of bmw wheels he did in his new chrome look and they looked ace. It isn't really chrome more polished alloy. Something a little different without being mega bling!

Gloss black works for me though it needs a wash in this pic.

It does look nice but my coaters say it's not especially durable.

That remains to be seen I guess. He has done his van wheels so they should show problems pretty guickly if there are going to be any.

That said it can't be any worse than the diamond cut finish on my car wheels. I get new wheels every year on warranty with them!

Gloss black would be my choice. Seen a bike with the BMW blue, avoid that one! Depends on the colour of your bike, I think BMW Granite grey would look nice on the right bike, matches the swinging arm and rocker covers on some models- Rallye and TB.

Robb.

These guys aren't too far from you and do a good job. I had some R1150RS wheels done there @ £45 each and it was a great finish and collected them the same day.

They also do discounted single colour days if your in no rush. Their shop display is a treat to see the potential colours but I'd opt for the gunmetal / anthracite grey.

I took my vfr wheels to tec coatings just outside Blackpool, great job & only £25 each in original flat white (cue nightmare to keep clean!)
