Evening all,

Thought I'd try to make my first post as a fully paid up tosser something useful, and hopefully enable me to introduce myself to a few of you... so I'm hosting an AllYearBiker event on November 15th. I'm about 3 miles from Altrincham.

The format is probably familiar to some of you - prices have gone up a bit this year to £60 per bike - but for that you're essentially getting a bike valet and then a thorough ACF-50 application (as it's designed to be applied - rather than just out of a tin). Take a look at www.allyearbiker.com for details/testimonials - and if you're interested, drop me a PM!

Looking forward to hopefully saying hello to a few of you,
Cheers,
Rich

Thanks Tarka, that's really helpful. Like I said, I'm trying to offer something that some people might find of use.

Now, hopefully back to anyone else who is interested?

Na costs me now't , just "borrow" it from work, they can have it back if they ask! Know anybody working for BAE? Senior management under investigation for fraud so it looks like everybody is at it at BAE Systems! :JB

This is now available for booking on the AllYearBiker website, in case anyone was thinking of joining us.

Tea, coffee, and bacon butties will be provided!

This is what they do ;

If you are cash rich and time poor then its not a bad investment to protect your bike over winter . Or you could buy a bottle of ACF50 yourself, probably about £15 I guess, and spend an afternoon doing it yourself.

You pays your money and makes your own choice. :thumb

Hi Liv

That's about the size of it yes - They clean the muck off, then coat the bike with ACF-50 that displaces and repels moisture - so the crap off the roads doesn't stick as much, and if any does, it's a lot easier to get it off (whilst leaving the coating intact behind it).

I think the benefit of these guys is it's applied via a high pressure compressor so the spray is much finer, and can get into all the little nooks and crannies on the bike - using a tin of it might not get into the little gaps as much.

Once all that's done they auto-glym the bike, and you pay 'em :thumb2

Like this, then? http://www.brmc.co.uk/acf-50.htm

I have an idèa:
Get 2 bikes; one for summer only - keep it clean and shiny for sunny days. And one for the rest of the year and for all types of weather.

In your dreams you won't fall off your bike on a icy road. -But is it only a dream?
So if you fall off you might damage more then the salt do...

Two bikes! :bounce1

...oh, thank you! :clap

:) Liv.

...and off I go on the snowy road! :)

If I had only one bike, and I wanted to keep it looking like new... -Perhaps that is a good and expencive idea?

I love my old sidecar; it look old and I can have fun with it - not afraid about small spots anymore.

-But people like in that firm need to do something for a living, right? Don't we all...

Have fun! :bounce1

:) Liv.
