I've just put an enquiry to allyearbiker to host an event. I have a few bikes I could treat and have plenty of space to host.

I figure a lot of new GS owners may want a proper protection treatment. If they come back to me and sort something, I'll post details.

I'm not close to any of their locations, I'm near Junction 8 of the M25, Reigate way.

Might be useful for some other folk who want their new or old bike treated.

I'd been interested, 1 bike if before 20th May and 2 bikes after 20th May!! I hope

Good idea Count, but I like my bike nice and shiny, and the ACF makes the crap stick to it.:comfort I had AYB treat my last GS and they did a great job.:thumb Now though if I'm riding in the salt, I spray the bike with loads of FS365, then give it a wash when I get home.:beerjug:

I think these guys do a better job than I would do of applying the ACF50 and not ending up with a muck collector.

I'm hoping to set a date for a week tomorrow potentially, Saturday the 20th April.

see www.allyearbiker.co.uk for details on what they do.

I can supply the location and will ensure copious tea/coffee etc. It would be great to get a few GS's there - I may post this on the general forum as well. I'll also post on the Ducati forum, may get a few of them as well. If we get about 6 bikes that's pretty good.

Just chatted with these guys.

Ideally a number of about 4-6 bikes works, if more than that they could have more than one person working the bikes. 3 bikes is a minimum and we have that already.

Date would be the 28th April, a Sunday.

I have one or two bikes I'd like sorted, maybe three so it's flexible.

Let me know if you are able to make that date and want to be included.

dare I say Count me in?..:thumb

Joking apart, That may be the day I pick up my shiny new beast...(Vines Guildford)...

think youre not far away maybe drop in and see the process etc?

I could always be tempted... but usually like Nutty I like em shiny!

check their website, the bike ends up very shiny:D

If you want to drop in and socialize on the new bike and just hang out, more than welcome.

AYB

I would be very interested. I was just about to call the guy in Ashford and get something arranged. Please let me know as if it is a non runner I will give him a call direct. I would not want to leave it any later than then, 28th as I am away the following Weds to France, so I would like it done before then.

JH

Ps I might know of a couple of others as well - I will ask.

It will definitely happen as I already have three bikes (the minimum) that could use a spruce up. He can handle a few more than that and if enough interest, I'd probably only do one or two of mine.

If you are a definite, that makes about 3 so far, maybe 4.

So that's me, Black Dog and JH.

that means I can confirm with them that we will go ahead.

I'll see what sort of deposit is needed. I may pay a deposit for my bikes and the rest can be cash on the day. I don't want to get stuck if people drop out and owe money so I'll see what the score is.

Any more? I've seen the before and after pics on the site and it looks like a proper job so not bad for the money.

All the details and the cost - £60 per bike - are on the site inc what the detailing and treatment involves. I think it actually seems like pretty good value to have the bike sorted for a decent time. I'll maybe do the same again after a summer (when it arrives) of riding.

Please include me and my LC.

My dependency is that delivery is scheduled to the dealer on 18th and collection on 23rd but should be good for the 28th. I haven't heard of any delays.

Not sure a hexhead would fit in but I'm up for it.

Sounds like a decent number then.

If we get beyond say 5 or 6 bikes, I will let them know and they might double the manpower on site to make it quicker.

The process isn't one to rush he told me so different options:

He can do each bike in turn, stagger when folk turn up. He can do a production line where each stage is repeated for each bike, he prefers this as it is more efficient.

People can either turn up on the day and hang out/watch while the bikes are sorted or if you prefer you can drop the bike and return later. I'm hoping the weather is good and if so it should be fine to hang out and play bikes, like I said, I can provide tea/coffee etc and I've plenty of space for people to chill out.

Adding two means five of us so far so any more and I will let him know and we can handle more people with them doubling the staff turning up.

Won't all be LC bikes so that's good. I am getting one of my other bikes done as well as Italian bikes and salt don't mix, this process cleans the bike and valets it well in addition to the ACF50.

I'm quite happy to hang about and chat bikes drink your brews and a kit kat.

Im in if Vines let me have the bike in time. That should be delivery day, and as im a fair weather biker it wont be raining.

The summer isn't as corrosive of course. However, it's still a good idea to treat a new bike (quite a few new LC bikes in the mix) and my own bike has probably got 750 miles of salt dust mashed in which these guys will clean properly, dry the bike and treat with ACF50 which sounds sensible to me.

I'd probably get the bike redone ahead of winter but it has had nothing so far and this makes sense to me.

Jumblemo added so that's six of us I think.
