Does the silver outer shield come off the can ? Or did you just give them the whole thing when you had it powder coated ? Cheers, Del

No, the two plastic tops come out (two screws each), the main body (silver part) is the real exhaust and is that part that is painted
The bike looks the nuts mate, enjoy

Driven by a need to save money
When needs must, choices are less, will do the job though, still cannot look at it.........
This just wrong in so many ways.....What do you think, does this topbox suit the bike ?

The parts I had painted were.
i) The main exhaust body (you need to remove the plastic end caps
ii) The metal hanger (you need to remove the rubber gromet, just prise it out)
iii) The alloy fixing disk that the mounting bolt goes through... it looks better painted
iv) The metal cover plate that hides the exhaust clamp bolts.
When painted, fit it all back together, job done..

I disagree, i think this topbox suits the bike in so many ways. Rounded like the tank and colour wise its spot on and blends with the bike almost perfectly. Once i get the exhaust done in black it will be ace

It´s a nice box, I had the same one (with the metal top) on a air cooled gs, and as a bonus, it takes two full face helmetes if placed bottom to bottom, the only things I didn´t like were that it can be hard to close if too full, it locks without key so there´s a danger that you can lock it with the key inside (happened to me) and the silver band around it is just painted plastic and scratches easilly

These are pretty good exhausts - I have the Ally/Carbon version with a Carbon heatshield - good fit and look. The sound is quite fruity for an "E" marked exhaust, slightly louder than standard.
The Arrows is almost identical (made in the same factory) but the Carbon is shiny rather than dull.
Seeing as most exhausts these days loose power rather than gain it I put it on a Dyno and was pleased to see it makes almost identical peak power to a standard 1250 (on the same Dyno), maybe a touch more mid range torque

i have the same exhaust, quite loud with baffle out. Its that easy to remove/install it gives you the choice which is nice.
i'm pretty certain i have gained with the Giannelli, find it wanting to wheelie more

careful you will have the Orange squad arriving saying theirs goes 6ft higher............
having moved from orange, i cant disagree.
But "General Failure" messages get annoying on the tft screen

I’ve never had an orange bike but on the short run i had on my new bike last night I’m at a loss to think that anything could be better and its certainly by far the best bike i’ve ever ridden. I would say that wouldn’t I ? I hear you say but its the truth. So no orange or indeed any other colour fir me.
