I have a chance to purchase these boots at a good price. They will be replacing my TCX Infinity boots that i have had for 3 years. I tried the Toucans on in store and they felt comfy immediately. They seem quite bulky though. Perhaps they will ease up with use. Just concerned about feel for working the controls. I ride a LC GS. Anybody have any experience of these boots?

Thanks in advance Dario :aidan

You'll probably need to recalibrate your sense of feel a wee bit, Dario. It's not impossible to do, you just have to persevere a bit. I remember when I bought my Sidi Flexforce SRS which are probably a bit more uncompromised than the Toucans. I tried to break them in while walking the dog and of course, the completely rigid SRS sole doesn't lend itself to that. However, after raising the gearchange lever by one spline, I was able to ride with them and even did a Knockhill trackday wearing them.

I bought a pair last June a week before a three week trip around Europe so was a bit worried they may be a bit uncomfortable having to wear new boots all day for three weeks. No problems, after the first day on the bike was surprised how they had loosened up and comfortable they had become. 8 hours constant rain one day and totally waterproof. I moved the gear lever up a spline as the toe box was a bit taller than my old boots. Great boots you won't be disappointed.
