I have on old pair of Alpinestars crosser boots 1980 (ish) vintage.
They are still going strong & well used so are dead comfy.

But the thin tongue lining was a vinyl cloth that's long since lost its plastic coating. It needs replacing.

Can anyone recommend a GOOD cobbler who can fit a thin leather flap (chamois maybe?) or has anyone had boots repaired by Alpinestars themselves?

I want it done neatly so anyone likely to blast it over at 8 stitches or less per inch might not be ideal.

My foot slipped off the kickstarter and the teeth on the footpeg, caught th eplastic strap. I took them back to where i bought them to see how much it would be to get Astars to repair them and was told stupid money so forget it. I took them to a local cobblers which are like rocking horse shit to find now and they put 2 brass rivets through the strap to stop it getting any worse cost less than a fiver. The boots are Tech 7's

A-stars might do them for old times sake. In my dreams - stylish Italians are bound to get "classic" like the Brits.
