Alpinestars warranty v Goretex warranty

Two weeks ago I rode 150 miles in heavy rain and all my gear kept the water out apart from my Alpinestars Goretex boots.

The boots were 25 months old and the Alpinestars warrany is 2 years.
They refused a warranty/good will replacement.

I then contacted Gore as they offer a lifetime warranty.

A week later they gave me a full refund.

Always buy Goretex gear, and for me never buy Alpinestars again.

TCX Goretex boots have never met me down in twenty years , right back to when they were called Oxtar. Cheaper than Alpinestars too .

So they were out of warranty and you want a new pair?

goretex lifetime warranty? How do you work out that the warranty was out? Apart from that Alpinestars weren’t really showing any good will. JJH

I’ve always found that good will is a reciprocal thing and depends on how you approach it.
