More later but a quick snippet.
We changed route today and nipped up the Col de La Bonnette after the sublime Galibier and D’Izoard.
Lunch was delicious and served by my fav French waitress at Halte 2000 half way up La Bonnette.
Local lamb cutlets from Jausier down the road
Even the veggie shite was delicious according to the lanky import

A bit more detail on today.
So we started in Valloire and ended up in Castellane following the RDGA as far as Col de La Bonnette and then doubling back and taking the west loop as far as Guillaume and then riding down the Gorge du Daluis and then around the dam to Castellane.
So we did the following cols
Galibier
D’Izoard
Vars
De La Bonnette
De Cayolle.
Cutting back across from Guillaume was a revelation .I’d not ridden the Gorge du Daluis for years and then the ride around the dam to Castellane (D955) was like a race track , a road I’ve never done before as normally on the RN85.
The route shown here in blue :
I’d not ridden the Col de Cayolle for years as normally do the Bonnette in its entirety .
The ride up the Cayolle was fucking horrid on my Kwak, so bumpy , but apart from that I don’t think I’ve ever had a better day’s riding in Europe ever.

The pics haven’t uploaded in the correct order and there’s too many of the bloody Kwak. Sorry .

The fucking things are skinny jean, so there is no chance of them going over a boot. Sorry boss! When I’m back I shall be ordering Rokker Revolutions.

It was stuck in RAIN mode indeed, but then the “fault“ has cleared and I was able to switch into STREET mode.

We've just got back from RDGA and Route Napoleon. Thanks to you and Humvee for your help/tips. That Cafe Hallte 2000! Wow, what a location and what a fit proprietor.! .....and all the time, all the awesome riders were hooning past, just above our heads, oblivious to what they were missing.

My salad based diet only gives me a “boos” in the corners you know and not to bad on the waistline.

Yep, 11 stone 12 now, I'm huge! Whatever I put on in Spain was lost in a week

Today has been mainly trying to find a fucking sandwich that the Lanky Lacking Lithuanian can actually eat . Tried two places so far !!
