I know it says 8.5, but do they have a metric equivalent? I find it more accurate.

Notionally it appears that an 8.5 is an EU42, but I was learnt in my years with outdoor footwear that it a 42 was 8 1/4 UK. Not sure that helps but a fair bet to say it will be between the two.
