On a dull but dry Thursday morning, Somclan and myself headed North East for some more of the Photo Rally buzz. This time it was agreed that Biboa Post office near Carlow town and Altamount Gardens near Tullow would be our checkpoints for the day.
After reaching Biboa Post office and chatting with the local Postman, who at this stage was well used to motorcyclists turning up, taking a photo and moving off we headed into Carlow town for a spot of lunch before making our way to Altamount Gardens. Once there a considerably greater effort was made in framing the photo after last years “click and dash” routine was discussed and discontinued.
A general e-mail was sent out by Gerry C to the photo heads about Altamount gardens a small time ago explaining that they are well worth a look and at this point in time where free. So on Gerry’s advice we went for a look see and weren’t disappointed.
The grounds are full of great flowers, plants, shrubs, trees, birds, a lake and loads of wildlife which is run and maintained by the OPW which seem to be doing a great job.
